An attack on Tuesday in four Nigerian villages has left countless people dead and many houses burned to ashes.
An eyewitness, Malam Umar, who is a volunteer in one of the villages, said at least “ten bodies of people killed were recovered, while many are unaccounted for”.
The brutal attack came only a day after a heart touching motion on the floor of the Nigerian House of Representatives by Hassan Adamu Shekarau following a previous attack recently that left dozens of people dead in the same region.
Shekarau is representing Birnin-Gwari/Giwa Federal Constituency in Kaduna state where bandits overran four villages on Tuesday in his Kakangi ward.
The gunmen attacked the villages around 5 p.m. on Tuesday for three and half hours. The villages are Mashigi, Dakwaro, Sabon gida and one other village adjacent Dakwaro.
The gunmen burned houses and stole stock of the affected villages.
