An Abuja Federal High Court has dissociated himself from the trial of former Minister of Interior, Mr. Abba Moro, he told the parties at the resumption of trial on Wednesday.
“I am sending it back to the Chief Judge for reassignment on personal reasons, when it gets reassigned, the parties can continue,” Justice Anwuli Chikere said when the case was called.
Mr. Moro is standing trial alongside former permanent secretary of the ministry, Anastasia Daniel-Nwobia, deputy director, F. O. Alayebami, and Drexel Tech Nigeria Limited on an 11 count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretence, procurement fraud and money laundering.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has charged the defendants for defrauding about 676,675 Nigerian applicants of N676,675,000.
