Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken on Friday detailed various moves by the United States to end Ethiopia’s Tigray conflict, acknowledging that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali has recently taken encouraging actions towards peace but noted that with millions of people continuing to face acute food insecurity and extreme hunger as a direct result of conflict, all parties should now use recent overtures to negotiate.
