Biden discusses Ukraine and Russia with Macron

U.S. President Joseph R. Biden Jr. spoke with President Emmanuel Macron of France on Sunday, and both leaders discussed ‘ongoing diplomacy and deterrence efforts in response to Russia’s military buildup on the borders of Ukraine,” the White House said in a brief statement.

Mr. Biden announced at the weekend that he believes President Vladmir Putin of Russia has made up his mind to invade Ukraine and warned of dire economic consequences.
