President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. on Thursday described President Donald Trump’s supporters who stormed the Capitol building on Wednesday as “a riotous mob, insurrectionists, domestic terrorists.”
In a blistering rebuke, Biden said the rioters were incited by President Trump who “unleashed an all-out assault on our democracy from the outset.”
Biden said had the rioters been Black Lives Matter Protesters, they would have been treated very differently. “This is unacceptable, unacceptable,” Biden said.

Biden warned that the President of the United States is not above the law.
“We’re a government of laws, not of men! That’s why there’s no president who is a king,” Biden said in remarks in Wilmington, Delaware, to introduce Merrick Garland as his nominee for Attorney General.
He also introduced other DOJ members, including the Deputy Attorney General.
