Biden says he won’t lift sanctions to bring Iran back to negotiating table

President Joseph R. Biden Jr. said the United States will not lift sanctions to bring Iran back to the negotiating table over the 2015 nuclear accord.

The president made the remarks in a CBS News interview the station partially released on Sunday morning.

In the clip of the interview, Mr. Biden was asked whether the U.S. will lift sanctions to bring back Iran back to the negotiating table, the president responded, “No.”

The President nodded when he was asked whether Iran should stop enriching uranium first.

The full interview will be released on Sunday afternoon.
