Biden tests negative for COVID-19

U.S. President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr on Friday tested negative for the novel coronavirus, his office said in a statement received by Today News Africa in Washington DC.

“President-elect Biden underwent PCR testing for COVID-19 today and COVID-19 was not detected,” the brief statement said.

Biden would meet with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer later on Friday.
