U.S. President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. is expected to nominate Ohio lawmaker Marcia Fudge to lead Department of Housing and Urban Development, multiple news outlets quoted people familiar with the matter.
Fudge is a former chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus who had been promoted by fellow Black members of Congress, including Rep. James Clyburn, a close ally of President-elect Biden.
