Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden wished President Donald Trump a swift recovery from coronavirus on Friday, just hours after Trump and First Lady Melania Trump announced they had contracted the deadly virus.
“Jill and I send our thoughts to President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for a swift recovery. We will continue to pray for the health and safety of the president and his family,” Biden tweeted.
Trump and Melania announced early on Friday they had tested positive for coronavirus and would be quarantined at the White House.

Vice President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence announced on Friday they had tested negative for the virus.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced he had been tested for the virus and had not been around Trump since September 15.
Trump’s physician said in a statement on Friday that the President was asymptomatic, meaning he was not sick.
