Begoña Gómez, the wife of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez of Spain has tested positive for coronavirus, the government said on Saturday.

The government added that the prime minister and his wife are in good health.

Both are in their residence in La Moncloa Palace in Madrid, the government seat of power, where they are following instructions from their doctors.

The minister of equality and the minister of regional affairs had tested positive earlier this week and both are in good health as well, according to the government.

Other cabinet members have tested negative.
