A suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber blew himself up in Cameroon on Friday morning, killing himself and no one else, a report said, a day after about six people were killed at a school in Kerawa, and four days after about 37 others were murdered in suicide attacks in Bodo on Monday morning that also left more than 70 people injured.
Local newspaper, L’Oeil du Sahel, said the latest suicide bombing occured at the entrance of Tolkomari locality in Cameroon’s far north region and there was only one dead, the bomber himself. It was not the final death toll, the newspaper added.
Boko Haram terrorists who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State in March last year and have since modelled their barbarism after the Middle East killers have stepped up attacks in Cameroon even as they continue to bomb Nigeria’s northeast where they remain strong.
