The Nigerian Senate on Thursday summoned President Muhammadu Buhari over series of mass killings across the country.
The summon followed deliberation of a motion on the repeated killings in Benue State.
It was sponsored by George Akume, a senator representing Benue North West.
The senators asked President Buhari to address a joint session of the National Assembly and present clear solutions to insecurity.
The House of Representatives had also debated a similar motion and both Chambers of the National Assembly agreed that Mr. Buhari should come and explain the chaos in Africa’s most populous country.
