Cameroon’s Biya appoints Matoya Cletus Anye to oversee development of troubled Northwest region. Read other appointments

President Paul Biya of Cameroon on Friday appointed Matoya Cletus Anye to oversee the development of the country’s troubled Northwest region where Anglophones have been agitating for independence. 

Mr Biya also made several other appointments, including in the national school of administration and the national telecommunications company.

Mr Soumbou Angoula Bertrand Pierre was appointed Director General of the National school of administration while Mr Harouna was appointed his deputy.
