Over the past two months, I have been attending WordPress meet ups in Washington D.C. and Virginia here in the United States, and one question that kept preoccupying my mind was what is the best WordPress website hosting company?
The speed of the website depends on a lot things, and the hosting company is a big factor. Google says a fast website should load at about 3 seconds or less. The global company says if a website loads at more than 3 seconds, more than 50 percent of the readers leave.
As a result, virtually all the web hosting companies claim to be the fastest and the best, and a cornucopia of hired bloggers often try to influence users by telling them which company is the best, and which one is the worst.
More often than not, they do not give them empirical evidence to separate the best from the worst. I have been trying to find out which one is the best and which one we should recommend to our readers around the world, especially in Africa.
It turned out that I was not the only one looking for answers. Darrel Wilson, who publishes darrelwilson.com and releases constant videos on YouTude to help users navigate their ways in the digital world was also asking himself the same questions.
He also realized that Hostgator, WP engine, Bluehost, Inmotion Hosting or Siteground were all claiming to be the best. So he compared their performances in a compelling video below. These results are not definitive, as there are many other factors not included here that influence the performance of a website, but the results give the users an idea the various web hosting companies.
