He spoke well during his ministerial screening at the Senate on Wednesday but he couldn’t explain why he approved N78 million for a mere website in the dying days of his administration.
Babatunde Fashola impressed some Nigerians on Twitter but he failed to explain why he approved so much money for a mere website, making mockery of President Muhammadu Buhari’s slogan on fighting corruption.
The former governor also left Lagos heavily indebted and with dilapidated infrastructure. Projects such as solar light that gulped millions of naira collapsed before the man left office.
But on Wednesday, Nigerians were impressed by mere words.
