It was a galore of celebrations in Ebonyi State as the reelection bid of Apostle David Nweze Umahi becomes clearer and actualizable as 26 gubernatorial candidates of opposition political parties together with 12 APC House of Assembly Candidates together with the SDP sole senatorial candidate defected to PDP.

Lady Monica Chidinma Ada Eze the Founder and President of David Umahi Nweze Akuburoah Ebonyi Transformation Agenda (DUNAETA), a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) described the development as heartwarming and good omen proven that all the Ebonyians are united in the reelection bid of Apostle David Nweze Umahi

In a press statement which she signed and made available to local and international media outfits on Thursday on 7th March 2019, Monica congratulated both the 26 gubernatorial candidates and 12 candidates for the State House of Assembly in the 9th March, 2019 polls joining forces with Umahi proves that Senator Sunny Ogbuoji has not only lost the gubernatorial race but will not make any impact if he decides to go ahead with the elections.

Monica condoled Ogbuoji on the dead on arrival of his aspiration to govern the state as his aspiration has hit the brick wall  as virtually all the creme de la creme and the blue blood in Ebonyi State politics have come in together to support the reelection bid of Governor, Engr. David Nweze Umahi.

Monica Aka Ada Ebonyi who also doubles as the Technical Assistant to the Governor highlighted that the 26 gubernatorial candidates were from ADC, AD, APP, AAP, ASD, ACPN, BNPP, CAP, DA, GPN, ID, LP, MAJA, NRM, PT, MPN, KP, RPN, NPC, PPN, AA, ACCORD, UDP, DPC, UPN and NCP which was led by Chief Ogbonnaya Okorie from Advanced Allied Party (AAP), 12 APC House of Assembly candidates out of the 24 candidates in the state, Over 20 different political party chairmen and Hon. Bar. Anselem Eni Igwe, the Senatorial candidate of SDP in Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone all were received today by the National Party leadership of PDP which was represented by the PDP South East Zonal Chairman, Chief Austin Umahi and the governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Nweze Umahi.

In their separate remarks, the governorship candidates through their leader Chief Ogbonnaya Okorie stated that the governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Nwaze Umahi has shaped the Ebonyi future and placed her on the enviable pedestrian of development and has come to fulfill the dreams of the founding fathers of the state, so he deserves not to be distracted to enable him consolidate on already achieved developments of making Ebonyi state the envy of other states in Nigeria. “In Ebonyi State of today, His Excellency, Engr. Dr. David Nweze Umahi has shaped the future of the state and placed Ebonyi on the enviable pedestrian of development and has come to fulfill the dreams of the founding fathers of this great state.
