Donald Trump remains too dangerous and reckless to return to Facebook, Oversight Board rules he should remain banned

Facebook Oversight Board has upheld the decision to keep former President Donald John Trump banned from Facebook platforms. The decision was made public by the company on Wednesday morning.

Trump was suspended from Facebook platforms following a deadly insurrection on the U.S. Capitol on January 6. He was impeached by the House of Representatives for inciting that insurrection and banned from other platforms as well.

Facebook asked the Oversight Board to review the ban on the former President shortly after it suspended his account early this year.

The Oversight Board decisions are not technically binding but Facebook has deferred to its judgement on individual appeals.
