Gunshots at a party to celebrate a governorship candidate in the troubled Southwestern Nigerian state of Ekiti on Friday, left at least two persons shot, including a former member of the House of Representatives and governorship aspirant. At least one person has died.
Opeyemi Bamidele, and one other person were shot at the All Progressives Congress secretariat in Ajilosun, Ado-Ekiti, during a reception organized for the governorship candidate of the party, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, reported local newspaper, The Punch.
