Imam Imam, a top Nigerian journalist and the Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State is no more.
Details of his passing on Friday remained sketchy.
Adored by his friends and respected by his peers, Imam Imam was one of the most recognizable faces in the media industry in Nigeria.
“Always a reporter, always striving for excellence, always good to my friends,” was how he described himself on Facebook.
Friends could not believe he was gone. They expressed shock.
“He was a great man, a generous man, a kind man, a professional to the core,” said Today News Africa’s Simon Ateba, who had known Imam Imam over the past few years.
