The managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva lamented on Friday that while Africa “should outperform the rest of the world—so countries can create jobs and lift up living standards,” many nations in the continent still recovering from COVID-19 economic turmoil are, however, underperforming.
