Nigeria is a nation riddled with gargantuan corruption and official theft, and Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra state knows it inside out.
The disclosures in this video are so shocking that it becomes simple to understand why one of Africa’s richest countries has neither stable electricity nor potable water for more than 100 million people.

Mr Obi, the former governor of Nigeria’s southeastern state of Anambra, who has reportedly been selected as Vice Presidential candidate for the opposition People’s Democratic Party, was addressing Nigerian youths and decided to lay bare all that he knows about corruption in Nigeria.
In pouring out his heart, Nigerians who had not paid too much attention to Mr Obi, have the opportunity to understand that the fight against corruption did not start with President Buhari, the former military dictator turned democrat who promised to kill corruption ‘before corruption kills Nigeria’, but has so far failed to do so.
Why this is important: Nigerians go to the polls in February, and attention has been shifting from Mr Buhari to other capable Nigerians who could replace him. And Mr Obi’s claims that he had been fighting corruption for long play directly into President Buhari’s territory, and give Nigerians hope that there are other messiahs able to take them to the promised land in 2019.
