U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Wednesday spoke by phone with Pawel Soloch, Poland’s National Security Bureau Chief, and Krzysztof Szczerski, Minister of State.
NSC Spokesperson Emily Horne said Mr. Sullivan underscored the Biden Administration’s interest in strengthening the bilateral relationship, expressing gratitude for Poland’s strong cooperation with the United States on defense issues and its efforts to promote energy security in Central Europe.

“They agreed to cooperate on common challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, global economic recovery, and climate change. They also discussed the importance of working together on shared foreign policy priorities, including Russia and China. Mr. Sullivan affirmed the Biden Administration’s commitment to supporting democratic institutions, the rule of law, and human rights.”
