The All Progressive Congress in Bayelsa has applauded the decision of the Federal Government to deploy more soldiers and other security personnel to the state ahead of this Saturday’s election.

A chieftain of APC in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, Nengimote Israel who gave the commendation in Yenagoa said the move will help the APC to sweep the state assembly polls.

According to him, with the deployment of additional security operatives particularly the army to Bayelsa, Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom States, President Muhhamadu Buhari can be guaranteed of the total victory of the APC in the state and other South-South states.

While congratulating President Buhari for his re-election, the APC chieftain who is also an ex-militant leader assured the president that the APC in Bayelsa State with the support of the military will sweep the State House of Assembly polls come Saturday.

He pointed out that the victory of the APC in the crucial state assembly election will pave the way for the party to win the coveted governorship seat later this year which is the ultimate target.

The ex-warlord noted that the APC was able to deliver massively for President Buhari in the Presidential and National Assembly elections because of the support of the army which they effectively used to overrun the PDP.

Nengimote stated that the PDP will be history in Bayelsa State and South-South as a whole after Saturday’s election because of the additional deployment of security agents which has become the source of strength for the APC.

The APC chieftain however called on leaders of the party to release in good time funds meant for the election, insisting that supporters of the party and the security operatives must be adequately rewarded to enable them seamlessly carry out the plan of the party across the state on Saturday.
