First Lady Melania Trump said on Friday she was experiencing mild COVOD-19 symptoms after testing positive for the potentially deadly virus.
“Thank you for the love you are sending our way. I have mild symptoms but overall feeling good. I am looking forward to a speedy recovery,” she tweeted.
Trump’s chief of staff told reporter on Friday the Presidency was also experiencing mild symptoms but was in good spirits.
Fox News reported that President Trump had indicated that he would transfer power to Vice President Mike Pence should his situation worsens, according to the 25th amendment.
Trump and Melania are self isolating at home for a number of days.
Democratic presidential candidate and wife Jill Biden have tested negative for the virus, and may continue campaigning.
Biden has been wearing masks and holding small gatherings while Trump has mocked him for wearing what he described as a “big mask.”
