Michelle Obama asks Americans to reject the hatred of Donald Trump and embrace the empathy of Joe Biden

Former First Lady Michelle Obama delivered a fiery speech at the Democratic National Convention on Monday night, calling on Americans to reject the hatred of Donald Trump and embrace the empathy of Joe Biden.

In an emotional speech that may reverberate around the country, Michelle Obama called on Americans to go out, vote, vote early, vote as if their lives depended on this election, and protect their votes.

“Donald Trump is the wrong President for our country,” Michelle Obama said.

To the millions of Americans watching, Michelle Obama spoke like a lot of mothers in the country. She referred to children who see the country being run aground and asked Americans to pick up the pieces and rebuild a country that reflects its values.

She said Joe Biden would bring decency, leadership and empathy to the White House, the qualities that Trump has failed to bring.

Michelle Obama, speaking directly to Americans said things could get worse under Donald Trump.

She reiterated her message to Americans to choose the higher ground. But she warned that going high does not mean to condone hatred, but to reject it and redefine America.
