A31-year-old model who was blinded in one eye following a brutal beating by her 30-year-old British boyfriend has narrated how she was able to escape the horrifying ordeal.

Martha Dolak from south London was held hostage and viciously beaten by Michael Goodwin, her boyfriend, after he found a text message on her phone by a friend advising her to leave him.

The model only escaped after she secretly took a selfie and sent it to a friend following a 21-hour ordeal.

“Her face and skull were fractured during the attack, which left her bleeding on the brain and with permanent damage to her optical nerves,” Daily Mail reported on Thursday, adding that Goodwin has now been jailed for four years and three months.

She told The Sun: ‘I went to the window to see if I could jump out safely but suddenly I felt an excruciating pain and remember nothing else.

‘I could have died if left without medical attention for much longer.’
