New Yorkers are known for working hard around the clock. Now, the city government is working hard to meet their needs. Mayor Eric Adams has announced the launch of MyCity, an online portal designed to streamline access to city services for residents.

MyCity’s first phase is focused on providing low-income families with easy access to child care assistance. Previously, the application process was cumbersome, requiring applicants to navigate multiple websites, city agencies, and paper documents. Many families found the process so difficult that they would give up before completing it.

With MyCity, applying for child care subsidies is fast, easy, and accessible in more than ten languages. The portal is user-friendly and secure, with documents stored online for easy access. Families can complete a screening tool to see if they might be eligible for assistance before starting the application process.

The MyCity portal is fully online, so families can complete the application from the comfort of their homes or workplaces. The process is so easy that parents can even apply while holding their child on their lap. The goal is to make government services more accessible and convenient for working families.

Mayor Adams has promised that MyCity is just the beginning. Soon, New Yorkers will be able to find and apply for jobs, access business services, and track service status, all in one place. MyCity will reduce bureaucracy and red tape, making it easier for residents to access the services they need.

The launch of MyCity is a promise kept by the mayor, who campaigned on making government work for working families. With this new portal, New Yorkers can expect government services to keep pace with their busy lives.
