A Nigerian Senator who was brought to court on a stretcher was denied bail on Thursday.

Senator Dino Malaye from Kogi state would spend the next 39 days in jail until his case is heard again.

He was charged with criminal activities, including arming thugs to wreak havoc in Kogi. But many see his case as clear persecution.
