Officer killed in daring jailbreak in Minna, Nigeria

At least two persons have been killed, including a prison officer, in a daring jailbreak in the north central Nigerian town of Minna, Niger state, the prisons service said on Sunday. At least seven inmates have been recaptured.
DSP Rabiu M Shuaibu, spokesman of the Nigerian Prisons Service at Niger command said in a statement that the criminals attacked the prison located at Tunga area of Minna Metropolis at about 8pm on June 3.
