The Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Moyosore Onigbanjo who was the lead prosecutor of Funke Akindele-Bello and her husband is seen here addressing the media after the ruling on Monday. He seems to be committing the same offense.

He did not observe social distancing in court and addressed a gathering of more than 20 persons against the directive of the state to curb the spread of COVID-19, the potentially deadly disease caused by the coronavirus.

More worrisome, a police cameraman is seen in the picture violating the same social gathering law.

Akindele and husband were sentenced to 14 days of community service and a fine of about $520 followed by a period of self-isolation for throwing a birthday party amid coronavirus pandemic and a social distancing law in the state.

Many who have been sharing the viral picture on the social media wondered why should the Lagos State government sentence ordinary citizens when it is violating the same law, when it is first to break the law.
