President Biden and First Lady to Host President Ruto of Kenya for State Visit

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are set to welcome President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto of the Republic of Kenya for a State Visit to the United States on May 23, 2024, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement on Friday morning.

The visit will commemorate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Kenya, highlighting the enduring partnership between the two nations.

The White House said that the upcoming visit aims to underscore the collaborative efforts that have benefited both the American and Kenyan people. It will serve as a platform to reaffirm the shared commitment to promoting peace, security, and democratic values globally.
