The president of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and the King of Jordan Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein on Sunday made a historic visit to Baghdad.
The United States welcomed the visit, describing as “an important step in strengthening regional economic and security ties between Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan.”
“The United States welcomes today’s historic visit to Baghdad by the President of Egypt and King of Jordan. This visit is an important step in strengthening regional economic and security ties between Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan and to advance regional stability,” U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a statement.
