Renowned journalist and founder of Today News Africa, Simon Ateba, has called on people to subscribe to his Twitter account to support his work in independent journalism. Ateba expressed his gratitude to the hundreds of people who have already subscribed to his Twitter, saying that their support means everything to him.

In a series of tweets in April, Ateba emphasized the importance of independent journalists and other thought leaders leading discussions on social media, where the majority of people now get their news. He pointed out that the conversations and debates that shape our world take place on these platforms, and it is vital to have real independent journalists providing accurate information.

Ateba also highlighted the fact that most young people now rely solely on social media for their news and information. During a recent meeting with younger people, he asked how many of them had bought a newspaper, and not a single person had ever purchased a physical newspaper.

To lead a small team and completely change the game with facts, accuracy, and informed perspectives, Ateba set a goal to reach 3000 subscribers. He called on people to subscribe to his Twitter account for just $5 a month, saying that together, they can make a real difference in the world of journalism and social media.

Ateba asked people to subscribe via the web so that he can receive over 90 percent of the $5. He expressed his hope that with the support of people, he can achieve his goal and continue to provide independent journalism to the world.

Ateba thanked his supporters and looked forward to having more people as part of his Twitter community. With the world relying heavily on social media for news and information, it is important to support independent journalists like Ateba, who strive to provide accurate information and lead discussions on these platforms.
