Schumer says family of 4 will receive $8200 in President Biden’s COVID relief package

A family of four earning $75,000 and below will receive $8200 in additional COVID relief funding, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced on Thursday.

The family of four includes the two parents and two children, Schumer clarified, as the Democrats move ahead to pass Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s $1.9 trillion relief proposal.

Speaking at a news conference in Washington DC, Schumer said the move is a proof that “your vote matters.”

He said elections have consequences and the Democrats were elected with a mandate to help the people.
