President Donald Trump on Monday welcomed the president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, to the White House. Both leaders discussed trade, security and diplomatic ties.

Kenyatta was the second Sub-Saharan African leader to be hosted by Trump, following the visit of the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari on April 30.

President Trump has been criticized for paying too little attention to the continent, and for his shithole allege comment that he has denied.

U.S. first lady Melania Trump, who helped welcome Kenyatta and his wife to the White House, is planning a solo trip to Africa this fall, Voice of America (VOA), reported.
