The United States on Wednesday officially designated three Sudanese entities for their roles in financing and facilitating materiel for the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Zadna International Co for Development Ltd, identified as a key component of SAF’s commercial network, is accused of being instrumental in laundering funds for the armed forces. Al-Fakher Advanced Works Co. Ltd., a holding company associated with RSF, is implicated in generating substantial revenue through the gold export business to support the RSF’s war efforts. Al Khaleej Bank Company, Ltd is singled out for its central role in funding RSF’s operations.

These actions come as a response to the continued violations of commitments and obligations by SAF and RSF, who persist in fueling the conflict, committing atrocities, and obstructing humanitarian aid deliveries.

The United States vows to utilize all available tools to bring an end to the devastating war, promote accountability, and support the Sudanese people in their pursuit of freedom, peace, and justice.
