U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Tuesday spoke by phone with Emma Aparici, Chief Diplomatic Advisor to the President of Spain, NSC spokesperson Emily Horne said in a statement.
Horne said Mr. Sullivan underscored the Biden administration’s commitment to strengthening the U.S.-Spain relationship, and expressed appreciation for Spain’s continued hosting of U.S. military forces.

“They agreed to work together on shared foreign policy priorities, including China, Latin America, and the Sahel. They also discussed the importance of partnership on common global challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change,” Horne added.
