UK-based Redeemed Christian Church of God pastor, daughter, son drown at swimming pool in Spain

Olubunmi Diya, the mother of two Nigerian-British children who drowned alongside their father while holidaying in Spain has suggested there may have been a problem with the swimming pool, dismissing claims they could not swim.

Gabriel Diya, a 52-year-old pastor, his nine-year-old daughter, Comfort and his 16-year-old son, Praise-Emmanuel, died on Christmas Eve at the Club La Costa World holiday resort in Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol.

Spanish police said Comfort got into difficulty while playing in a swimming pool at the resort and her father and brother died trying to save her.
