White House Correspondent Simon Ateba has bid farewell to Tucker Carlson, following the news of the latter’s departure from Fox News Channel. Ateba, who made several appearances on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” between 2021 and 2023, expressed his admiration for Carlson in a heartfelt message on his Substack,

“In my opinion, Tucker Carlson is a phenomenal journalist and an exceptional person. His departure from Fox News Channel has left a void that will be difficult to fill,” Ateba wrote. He added that he is excited to see what the future holds for Carlson, confident that he will excel in whatever he chooses to do next.

The cable news world was shaken on Monday when Fox News announced that its top-rated host, Tucker Carlson, had abruptly left the network. Fox News expressed gratitude for Carlson’s contributions in a statement, while announcing plans to temporarily fill his prime-time slot with a rotating lineup of hosts until a permanent replacement is found.

Carlson’s controversial commentary and outspoken views on political issues made him a fixture on Fox News for years. His departure raises questions about the future of the network and who will take his place as its top-rated host. Speculation abounds that his exit may be due to a shift in Fox News’ political stance or a desire for a new direction in programming.

As the cable news landscape adjusts to the absence of one of its most recognizable faces, many are wishing Tucker Carlson the best in his future endeavors and eagerly awaiting the next chapter for Fox News.
