The World Health Organization on Thursday declared the coronavirus outbreak in China a Global Public Health Emergency.

Close to 200 people have died and thousands have been infected worldwide, with most people in mainland China.

WHO said it had confidence in China’s ability to tackle coronavirus.

In Africa, there tests have been run in Ethiopia, Kenya and Ivory Coast, and airports around the continent were on high alert.

In the United States, the first person to person transmission was confirmed by the CDC.
