The Director General of the World Health Organization said on Wednesday that the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths continues to decline globally, however, the perception that the pandemic is over is “understandable, but misguided.” He said 68 countries have still not achieved 40% vaccination coverage, and that vaccine supply is now sufficient, but demand in many countries with the lowest vaccination rates is lacking.
