Worrying signs as U.S. surpasses 11 million coronavirus cases

The United States on Sunday surpassed 11 million cases of coronavirus with more than one million infections recorded in the last six days alone.

Data from the Johns Hopkins University show that the number of coronavirus cases in the United States is more than any other country in the world.

But President Trump, who refuses to concede defeat in the November 3 presidential election won by President-elect Joe Biden, is doing nothing to fight the virus and coordinate with the Biden transition team.

Across the United States, hospitals are being overwhelmed and some states are reimposing lockdowns and shutdowns to curb the spread of the virus.
